Delhis campaign in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2026 was like a deal. They had everything they needed to do they were confident they had a lot of good players and they played really well at times. People thought they would do well because Delhi is usually one of the teams in Indian cricket.

From the start Delhi played like they were in charge. They knew what they wanted to do. They did it. They won a lot of their games. Finished first in their group. What was really cool was how they played. They did not seem to be under a lot of pressure no if they were trying to catch up or set a score. Different players did well in games, which is great for a team that wants to win.

The batsmen did a job. The top players gave Delhi starts so the other players could play freely. The young players did well and seemed to know what they were doing. When some of the older players were not playing the team still did well. That says a lot about how strong the team’s how well they work together.

The bowlers were also really good. They had a mix of old and young players and they did a great job of keeping the other team from scoring. They were careful with their bowling. Got important wickets. This helped Delhi control the games in the middle part. Delhi was one of the favorites to win when they got to the knockout stage. People thought they would go far in the tournament maybe even win it.. The knockout stage is different and Delhi had a tough game against Vidarbha.

That game did not go well. Vidarbha scored a lot of runs and Delhi was under pressure from the start. Some players did well. They could not work together to stay in the game. Delhi lost, which was sad because they had played well until then. This loss taught them something. Doing well in the games is one thing but the knockout games are different. You have to be able to handle the pressure. Delhi was a team but they could not do it when it really mattered.

There are still a lot of things to think about. The young players did well the team was strong. They played great in the group stage. If Delhi can get better at handling pressure they will be a team again next year. Delhi’s Vijay Hazare Trophy 2026 campaign was like a promise. They did not win the trophy. They showed that they have what it takes to win it all. The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2026 was a tournament, for Delhi and they will be back next year. Delhi will try to do in the Vijay Hazare Trophy next year.
